POLICY FOR APPROVING BITCHES:
Bitches must be approved by the stud's owner before being accepted for breeding. Bitch owners must be willing and able to provide care for the litter and agree that no puppies from the resultant litter will be sold to pet shops or other wholesale outlets.
Bitches must be in good health and condition at the time of breeding and must be free of hereditary defects, parasites, or infections. They must be of good conformation and temperament and must be physically suitable for breeding to the selected male. A recent negative culture and brucellosis test are required for bitch.
A veterinary examination, smear and/or culture may be required at the owner's expense if any problem is suspected. A stud dog provides a valuable service and bitch owner shall be liable for any loss of future service due to bitch owner's concealment of health problems. A litter is not eligible for CKC Registration if the serviced bitch is serviced by a second male during this heat cycle, nor is the owner of the bitch entitled to a free repeat breeding.
STUD OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY:
The bitch will be given proper care and handling, but stud owner cannot accept responsibility for losses due to causes other than the negligence of stud owner. Stud dog is guaranteed to be in good health as required of the bitch.
GUARANTEE:
This contract guarantees the actual mating or shipped specimen of listed dogs only and not of a pregnancy or puppies. No fee will be refunded should bitch fail to whelp. ONE puppy whelped live constitute a litter. If one puppy does not survive to 8 weeks, the right to choice of puppy(s) will be a next breeding. A free service will be given by the same stud at the next heat of the same bitch if written/oral notice is given to stud owner within 90 days of breeding date. Unless such notice is given, the return service is cancelled. If stud is not available, if bitch changes ownership, or fails to conceive after return service, this contract is terminated.
In cases of pick of litter pups, and only one pup survives BLACK IRISH DEVIL DOGGES will take that pup as payment for Stud Service owed.
Stud Service price is $1000.00 or pick of litter, and stud owner has right to refuse pick of litter and request cash if female used is not upto BLACK IRISH DEVIL DOGGES Standards.
PUPPY PURCHASE AGREEMENT
The buyer agrees to purchase a puppy with the "name" _______________________ from the litter by BLACK IRISH , out of (dam) and (sire) born, for the amount of $ , plus shipping of $ .
Buyer agrees to read this contract carefully, print out this form, sign it, and send it back to the seller, with their deposit of $500 made out to Black Irish Devil Dogges. The seller will sign the contract when it is returned and send a copy back to the buyer for their records.
The seller agrees to furnish the buyer with the necessary health information, including all shots and worming records. The CKC registration application papers will be signed and executed at the time of sale. You will receive temporary puppy papers for the organization which your puppy will be registerable with. The buyer understands that this puppy will be eligible for permanent registration.
PET HOMES:
All puppies purchased into "Pet Homes" will be required to be spayed or neutered before 6 months of age and proof MUST be provided to BLACK IRISH DEVILDOGGES before registration papers will be released to the buyer. NO EXCEPTION!!! In addition a spay/neuter contract will be sent to the buyer. Said contract must be signed and returned to the seller before the puppy will be shipped. Registries will be notified of the agreement. Failure to abide by this agreement will result in buyer returning puppy at buyer's expense, and buyer will pay any legal fee's(small claims court) incurred by seller in retrieving the puppy.
BREEDING RIGHTS:
BLACK IRISH DEVILDOGGES has the right to screen all applicants wanting to purchase a puppy for breeding purposes. Once screening is complete, and the buyer is approved, full breeding rights will be granted. This agreement will be listed on this document and signed by both parties and registries will be notified.
DEPOSITS/PAYMENTS/SHIPPING:
Deposits are NON REFUNDABLE, except in the case of premature death, prior to delivery of the puppy to you. In that instance any monies paid to the seller will be refunded to you, or you can transfer those monies to a future litter if you choose. IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND AND DO NOT OR CAN NOT TAKE YOUR PUPPY YOU FORFEIT YOUR DEPOSIT. The remainder of the payment must be paid in full prior to the puppy being shipped, or at time of pick up by you in Cash, Western Union, or with a major Credit Card through Pay Pal. Pay Pal charges a fee of 3.0%. If you use your credit card 3.0% must be added to the total. We will start taking deposits on pups at 3 weeks of age. Pups are chosen in the order the deposits are received. Seller ALWAYS has first choice in all litters.
Puppies are reserved and held with a deposit. Deposits are $500.00. Deposits must be paid by the following methods; Cash, Western Union, or with a major Credit Card through Pay Pal. Pay Pal charges a fee of 3.0%. If you use your credit card 3.0% must be added to the total.
Choice of puppy is determined on a first come (deposit received) first to choose basis. Puppy will be placed on "hold" for four business days, while waiting for a deposit. If deposit is not received in that time, the puppy will be placed back up for sale.
Once BLACK IRISH DEVILDOGGES has received your deposit the puppy will be marked and considered sold.
ALL SHIPPING COSTS ARE THE BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY. $ 100.00 THIS INCLUDES HEALTH CERT. FROM THE VET, AND FLIGHT CRATE ONLY. ALL SHIPPING COSTS WILL BE PAID BY THE BUYER AT TIME OF DELIVERY AT THE AIRPORT (All Pups will be shipped C.O.D). THE BALANCE OF THE PUPPY IS DUE BY THE TIME THE PUPPY IS 6 WEEKS OF AGE UNLESS YOU ARE PICKING UP YOUR PUPPY. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT AIRLINES WILL NOT SHIP BULLDOGGES IF THE FORECASTED TEMPREATURE IS NOT WITHIN THEIR GUIDELINES, this can cause obvious delays in the shipping of your puppy. All puppies will be shipped at 8 weeks of age. If unable to pick up or ship by then, additional kennel cost will be incurred unless prior arrangements have been made. BLACK IRISH DEVILDOGGES will take care of all shipping arrangements for the buyer at buyer's cost.
Any pup not picked up or shipped after the 10th week of age will have additional boarding fees of $35 per week, unless prior arrangements have been made in writing with BIDD. The buyer will also be responsible for additional vaccinations, wormings, and any necessary vet care while the pup is still in our care.
ANY PUPPY THAT HAS HAD A DEPOSIT AND/OR PAYMENTS MADE ON THEM, THAT ARE STILL AT BIDD WITH NO CONTACT FROM THE BUYER FOR 2 WEEKS AFTER THE 10TH WEEK OF AGE WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED AND THE BUYER WILL FORFEIT ALL MONIES PAID TO THAT DATE, HAVE NO FURTER CLAIM TO THE PUPPY, AND IT WILL BE PLACED BACK UP FOR SALE.
YOUR
—To be in good physical condition for the first 48 hours after the time of delivery to the buyer. The buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by a Licensed Veterinarian within 48 hours after delivery time for a complete physical examination. If the Veterinarian finds the puppy to have a serious physical condition other than a viral or bacterial cold or bacterial infection, such as Coccidia or Giardia (bloody stools), which is easily treated, the seller will replace the puppy with another puppy of comparable or better quality, when available from same or upcoming litter, after the first puppy is returned to the seller. The seller reserves the right to a second Veterinarian opinion at the expense of the seller. If the puppy is not examined by a Veterinarian within 48 hours after delivery time, all guarantees listed are not valid. No monies will be refunded. Puppies are at risk for Coccidia and Giardia (bloody stools) which is often brought on by the stress of shipping, a new home, new food, new people, change of climate or surroundings. etc. Puppies shipped also seem more prone to have bouts with Coccidia or Giardia (bloody stools). Another thing that may show up with shipping and/or the stress of moving and a new home is Kennel Cough (Bordatella-a raspy cough may be signs of this) which is common in dogs that are shipped and is usually caused by bacteria. Kennel cough is self limiting and like the common cold, it must run its course. Full recovery is expected and kennel cough, Coccidia or Giardia on their own are not life threatening. All puppies are treated and vaccinated for Coccidiosis, Giardia and Kennel Cough, before they leave. However, you need to be aware that these things can arise and that they are usually not serious (even though seeing blood in the stool appears serious) and are easily treated. We will not cover the treatment for them.
—To be free from any genetic / hereditary defects that cause death or serious impairment of the vital functions in the puppy until said puppy is one year of age. If such an inheritable defect is documented by a Veterinarian and presented to the seller with sufficient supporting evidence, the buyer will be entitled to a replacement puppy of comparable or better quality, when available from same or upcoming litter, after the first puppy is returned to seller. No cash refunds.
—To be current on wormings and shots and have received vaccinations and wormings depending on age. No replacements will be given in case of Parvo.
If your dog is used in any sort of illegal activity (i.e. dog fighting) or in any extreme sports (i.e. weight pulling), or is mistreated, malnourished, abused or not taken care of, the guarantee is completely null and void.
This guarantee does not cover what in the Bulldog breed we consider normal or beyond our control i.e.: Cherry eye, "loose" hips, stenotic nares (loud sounding or "snuffling" sound when breathing) elongated soft palates, cateracts, or any other diseases that effect the bulldog breed, skin allergies such as Demodectic Mange or Umbilical Hernia- an "Outie" belly button A small one can be left alone with no ill effects. A bigger one should be removed. Again because of the barrel like body, it's a breed thing. Since it usually happens before 8 weeks of age, if it is large and it happens here, I take care of it here. If it happens once a pup is home with you, speak with your vet. This is not covered in our guarantee. We do not breed dogs with undesirable conditions such as mange or bad hips, but we cannot guarantee that previous generations did not have these conditions in their lines; therefore, we cannot guarantee these conditions will not show up in future litters.
There is no guarantee or warranty that the buyer will be able to breed or show the dog purchased, regardless of show or breeding potential.
General Information- Every line of dogs have some issues common to their breed. The Olde English Bulldogge is a recreation of the Bulldogges of Olde and one of the reasons it was created was for the purposes of eliminating many of the established health problems that the English Bulldog has, which it has done. However the dog is still a Bulldog and some problems may arise that are directly related to what we find most desirable about the breed – the flat face, rolling gait, short tail and big chest for instance. Do all the research that you can, understand and accept that when you purchase a dog you may have to deal with some issues. Stress- one must understand that it is stressful for any puppy to leave it's home and littermates or playmates. Like you, a pup under stress, is more susceptible to illness. His immune system is compromised while under stress. There are millions of bacteria, fungi and depending on environment, viruses all over. If your pup comes into contact with these while he is stressed, he will be less able to fight it off. Be very considerate of this factor, keep the pup quiet and wait until he knows you and is over his stressful time to expose him to new and exciting (and usually germ and virus' friendly) atmospheres (such as going to Petco to choose a new bone, or inviting all your family and friends over to see him. Give him time and keep him away from stress as much as possible the first 10 days or so. Hold him in your lap at the Vet. Like Hospitals, where sick people are all over, vet offices see sick dogs nearly every day. It may take him a few days of rest to be himself again. This is normal. We strongly suggest that you do not expose your new puppy to new things until you have had him for 2 weeks. Keep him in your yard, hold him if you cannot. He is a baby just like a human baby. You know how they catch every cold around? It is because they are new to the world and their immune system needs to be exposed to things to become strong, same thing with baby puppies. Pups are current on their vaccinations including- hepatitis, parainfluenza and bordetella when they leave Strong Bulldogges. You will need to give several more when the pup gets a bit older. Speak with your vet about what is appropriate for your area. The incubation period on Parvo is 2-10 days. Just because a puppy is current on vaccinations, this does not mean he is immune. You will be given a Puppy Health Form with your dog. This will detail what vaccinations and wormings he has had and when.
The Buyer Agrees to the Following:
Maintain up to date vaccines, wormings, and keep the dog/pup in humane conditions providing love, proper food, water, and shelter for the dog/pup.
If by chance you are unable to keep your pup/dog BLACK IRISH DEVILDOGGES has the right to reclaim the dog/pup or we will help you in finding the dog/pup a new home. NO REFUND IMPLIED!!!!
